Your Survival Guy was speaking with a long-time client yesterday, a relationship I’ve had for 15 years. When you consider all the years he read Richard C. Young’s Intelligence Report, it’s a relationship that’s spanned decades.
It’s because of my relationship with him that he’s referred me to his friends, family, and work associates who are now clients. Yesterday, in my conversation with him, he said, “Survival Guy, JB was over the house Saturday and thanked me for introducing him to you. He said it was the best investment he’s made and wouldn’t have done it without the research I did on your firm.”
“Nice,” I said. “You’ve done a lot for my business.”
As an aside, Your Survival Guy tells you this story not to be self-congratulatory (though that’s, of course, one reason) but to illustrate what I have found to be the most powerful reasons investors join us: TRUST.
We all want to be confident investors. To have trust that what we’re doing is right for us. But to make that first move, to commit to working with an advisor who will provide investment counsel you can be satisfied with, requires a leap of faith.
A leap of faith is hard. It’s not easy. But taking that leap on the recommendation of someone you trust makes it a whole lot easier.
You’re doing the heavy lifting right now by reading, thinking, and learning. We’re getting to know each other, so when you’re ready to take that leap of faith, you’ll have trust in me to make it easier.
Action Line: I believe in you. I know all about that leap of faith. It’s not easy. Stick with me. When you’re ready to talk, email me at ejsmith@yoursurvivalguy.com. But only when you’re serious.
